Lahore : The Punjab Sports Ministry has decided to set up the first high performance center in Lahore for the promotion of hockey.
According to details, the Punjab Sports Ministry has decided to set up the first High Performance Center in Lahore at a cost of Rs 250 million. The High Performance Center will be completed in 18 months.
Flood lights along with turf field will be installed in the High Performance Center. According to Rasool, the main reason for the decline in hockey is the lack of interest in the admission of children in educational institutions on the basis of sports. Those who came forward after learning from ordinary grounds could not perform better, thus the team could not maintain the chain of success.
